2020 DEEP INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL UNDERWATER PHOTO COMPETITION

DivePhotoGuide and Wetpixel are proud to announce the winners of the 2020 DEEP Indonesia International Underwater Photo Competition. In conjunction with the DPG/Wetpixel Masters Underwater Imaging Competition, the contest makes up what is known as the “Super Bowl” of underwater imaging competitions, offering more than $100,000 in prizes.

Once again, the contest attracted hundreds of entries from all over the world, with photographers hoping to bag their share of awesome travel and equipment prizes.

Congratulations to Enrico Somogyi, who earned the “Best of Show” award with a brilliant image of a golden jellyfish, which was shot in Palau. This year’s judging panel included professional underwater photographers Mike Bartick, Renee Capozzola, Ellen Cuylaerts, Tobias Friedrich, Kate Jonker, and Andrew Marriott.

The full set of winning images can be viewed here, and will be published by supporting media partners worldwide. As with all Underwater Competition contests, 15% of proceeds will be donated directly to marine conservation efforts.
